![]() ![]() Get greater malison and an emotion spell this will knock out many enemies:think it as a general misery and feel bad type of spell, not very unfittng for a necromancer. At lvl four there are no good necromancy spells, contagion is very meh. Plus it damages even those monsters immune to fire such as dragons and demons/devils. Skull trap has no damage cap and becomes more powerful than fireball at high levels. Vampiric touch is excellent damage dealer and hp buffer, and you can get some castings per day as a special ability at the start of the game. Horror is a good debuff at lvl 2, and ghoul touch can be of use unlike chill touch. Low lvl spells are a bit weak, chill touch being very useless in general. It lacks utility/protection type spells but it does what it does very well:killing living things! As a school it packs immense offensive power at high levels. The mage necromancy spells in bg2 deal with life forces, and death. Clerics get a poison spell which is also a necromancy spell, but it is not that great, either. There are not any poison spells for a necromancer. ![]()
